I’m Shoshanna Raybin, although many of my friends and colleagues call me Shosh. I’m a labor and delivery nurse, childbirth educator, mother, and partner.  I’m blessed to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Humboldt County, California, where I enjoy a sweet and simple life.

What floats my boat? I love cooking, learning and teaching.  Bearing witness to the miracle of childbirth makes me weak in the knees-in a good way! More things that please me: human rights in childbirth, reproductive choice, yoga Nidra, hiking in the redwoods, Stand Up Paddleboarding, potty humor, kombucha, baggy sweatpants, hand claps, cinnamon tea, and knitting.

My children, Sam and Corabella, are my greatest source of joy and humility. Helping them grow has been an adventure like none other, and I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with all of you.
